Only a Few More Rehearsals Left! – An Evening at Fawlty Towers

Workshop Theatre is going to do a great job with “An Evening at Fawlty Towers”. Based on the British comedy from the 1970’s, “Fawlty Towers” is a cult hit. Sarcasm and wit at its best.

Rehearsals are well underway for the production of “An Evening of Fawlty Towers” which opens September 20, 2013 at the Pumphouse Theatres in Calgary.  Alan LeBoeuf, one of the directors of the play, said tonight that “it’s great to work with such a large and talented cast.”  Below is a sneak peak of some of the cast at a rehearsal.

Not familiar with “Fawlty Towers”?  It was a popular British sitcom from the late 1970’s and there’s a cult following of the popular sitcom.  The show is about hotel owner, Basil Fawlty, and his “incompetence, short fuse, and arrogance that form a combination that ensures accidents and trouble are never far away.” (Wikiquote).  In the original sitcom, Basil Fawlty was performed by John Cleese (Monty Python alum).
